Kadon Graham Co-Founder/Co-Director
Kadon Graham our Co-Founder/Co-Director: Kadon’s is an amazing story. Born in Alaska his family moved here when he was very young. He always had an affinity for working on race cars and hunting, which he and his father did regularly. Always a good kid never got into any trouble, did excellent in school, friendly, popular etc. But there was one problem; he could not understand why he could not control his desire for marijuana and alcohol, or the amount he took once he started to drink and use. Beginning at the age of 16, Kadon like most young men liked to hang out with his friends, go to the occasional party, in fact at the start he didn't drink much at all. Then while in college, years later, working towards his degree in psychology, he started to realize that he had a problem with alcohol and drugs and began to try to stop altogether. Realizing that perhaps he could not do so, he began to get severely depressed. Every attempt failed, finally he ended up at 12 step fellowships, and at first began to be hopeful as he had sporadic periods of time sober, then came the day when he simply couldn't stand himself sober or loaded and thought of ending his life. He didn't want to use any more, but he couldn't stand sobriety either. Not being a person who had any religious background, not really knowing much about spiritual things, not having any interest either, but not knowing what to do? Kadon said a prayer and went to a 12 step meeting he had been frequenting and met some people he hadn't seen all the times before. They talked with him afterwards about their own experience and the answer they found, he asked for help began to recover. That was some time ago. As time went on Kadon realized that he wanted to help others recover, like someone had helped him. But he wanted to do more than just talk to them for a few minutes here and there, he wanted to provide a place where people could come and get the specific care they needed. He found out that his new friend had already been working towards that very goal. Together the set out to find others who might be like minded and Anew Rehab Services was born. Today he lives to help others who want one, find a solution to their specific dual diagnosis or chemically dependant problem. Whether it’s altruistically or through the business program Kadon Graham loves to be a part of helping others to recover!
Ericson Struthers Executive Chef/Director of Nutrition
Our Executive Chef & Director of Food/Nutrition Ericson Struthers is among the best in the industry. A graduate of a top Culinary Academy in the Country and having worked in the food service industry for many years, Mr. Struthers not only brings a special passion for serving others the most delectable food, but also creating his own dishes and nutritional wellness products that promote the happiest & healthiest well-being possible. Ericson is also a recovered ex-problem drinker himself and has been sober for quite some time, so he understands what people are going through when trying to overcome chemical dependency. Alcoholism, drug addiction, food addiction, gambling, addiction and many others, all have various physiological destructive traits. Eric believes that when a person is recovering from chemical dependency or other forms of addiction, he or she must have a nutritional evaluation and a specific dietary & physical wellness plan must be created unique to that individual for maximum benefit to lasting recovery. So as part of our addiction rehabilitation system, he has devised a program that works in conjunction with our Medical Director that is guaranteed to promote health and permanent recovery from substance abuse. This is just one level of love and service that Mr. Struthers brings to our clients at Anew Rehab Services and helps to make us a leader in the industry of addiction recovery.
Michelle Leon Director of House Keeping/Womens Mentor
Director of Housekeeping Michelle Leon: Love & service are key components in helping others to recover from chemical dependency and Michelle is wonderful at providing such elements. Most people think of a housekeeper as someone who does nothing more than pick up after others or as merely a servant. But here at Anew Rehab Services it is imperative that our clients are so well taken care of that they can devote nothing but the time to do the work necessary for them to recover. When someone is going through detoxification it can be not only painful and uncomfortable, but at times embarrassing as well. There must be a level of trust and confidence that one has the ability to build with someone so that they will allow them to care for them. That is what makes Michelle such a valuable asset to Anew Rehab Services. She is not only the Director of Housekeeping, but also a resident staff counselor, and an educated woman who cares about people and loves to help others be comfortable especially while they are trying to recover from whatever they are suffering. Michelle like many of our staff is a recovered ex-problem drinker and drug user who has been through a few addiction treatment centers herself, so she understands exactly what residents are going thru. No one provides a better level of care and service than Michelle, she absolutely is part of our pride and joy at Anew!
